Background: Born in Kirkwall's alienage to a dwarven father and an elven mother, Ryan had a difficult childhood being a halfbreed and constantly got into fights, becoming a wild and uncontrollable child. She was never able to form a good relationship with her parents, and the only good influence in her life was her older sister and best friend, Darcy, who taught her how to fight.

Ryan grew up dreaming about fighting in the Grand Tourney, putting a lot of effort into training, but her dream was crushed when their parents decided to arrange a marriage for Darcy. Her older sister decided to simply run away from the city to avoid this, and fourteen year old Ryan didn't think twice about it and followed her. The sisters traveled to Ferelden and started doing little mercenary jobs before establishing in Highever's alienage when Darcy married an elf, and Ryan decided to move out after the couple announced they were expecting a baby. And... because of some personal issues with the citizens. Knowing nothing else than mercenary work, Ryan decided to move south after hearing about the infamous Merry Mabari tavern. With any luck she'll get some coin!

Appearance/personality: not quite as stocky as other dwarves because of her mixed blood, Ryan stands at a short 144cm and is petite and feminine, which helps her in battle because she's also very strong, agile and resistant thanks to a lifetime of training, and nobody sees her coming. She tends to like her hair short, but sometimes experiments with it, getting different hairstyles or dyeing it. She also loves makeup, and it's rare to see her without her nails painted. She has collected scars along the years, but has always gotten rid of them, not liking the rugged looks.

She tends to have a mostly friendly personality, but she takes no shit and tends to react to it very physically. If you don't get on her nerves she's easygoing and likes a good laugh. She's quite independent and mistrustful, and it's hard for her to maintain relationships with people. She doesn't have any reservations when it comes to killing whoever stands in her way. She also doesn't give a fuck what you think of her.

-She has an angelical voice.
-She started to use her whip at the tender age of 10, to grab things that were too high for her to reach. It required a lot of practice, but it paid off and she can't do without it. She likes bringing her enemies down to their knees.

-What she lacks in height and weight she gains in flexibility and acrobatics.
